How are you supposed to stay up to date on all the latest cyber threats?

We can help you cut through the techno-jargon so you can get a clear understanding of the real risks to you and your business and how you can protect against them.

Phishing

Phishing uses links in emails and websites to trick users into thinking that a website is genuine to gain personal and financial details.

Spear Phishing

Spear phishing uses social engineering to send more sophisticated messages which contain information directly related to the victim.

Malware Attack

Viruses, worms, trojan horses and spyware are all forms of malware which infect computers in order to delete or obtain protected data.

Your Clients

Law firms are targeted every day by cyber criminals. Not only can we protect you, but we can also protect your clients.

Don’t let the techies overcomplicate your security.

The vast majority of cyber attacks are very basic in nature, carried out by relatively unskilled individuals. They’re the digital equivalent of a burglar trying your front door to see if it’s unlocked. That’s why you can’t beat good, old fashioned common sense to protect against them.

Links and Attachments

When you’re busy, you’re at your most fallible. Don’t click on links or open attachments from anyone you don’t know. No matter how rushed you are, think before you click and check the senders email address. Even the most legitimate looking emails have tells.

Multi Factor Authentication

Truth is, if you use online banking you’re already using it. When you’re asked for your password and then also have to type in characters from a memorable word, or use a card and reader, that’s MFA. Best advice is to use MFA wherever it’s available for that extra layer of security.

Passwords

The most common passwords globally are 123456 and password. Secure passwords can be hard to remember, but you’re asking for trouble if you don’t at least make an effort. Use a password manager and use different passwords for the different sites and services you use.

Updates

Updates can be a pain, especially when your machine decides to run them when you’re at your busiest! But, whether it’s an update for your operating system, an application you use or your antivirus, always make sure you’re on the latest versions for maximum protection.
